SOCKE, German Shepherd-Kuvasz-Mix, born 03/2017

SOCKE, German Shepherd-Kuvasz-Mix, born 03/2017

We’ve known SOCKE since he was eight weeks old. He moved into a very animal-loving family and soon got a girlfriend, also a puppy.

The first months they were palsy-walsy, but the balance of power tipped very soon, because SOCKE now weighs about 45 kg with a shoulder height of  70 cm.

SOCKE is amazing with other dogs, male or female, neutered or not  – SOCKE is simply friendly to everybody! Even cats are welcome in his home, if they are compatible with dogs. 🙂

SOCKE just loves people, children and animals. The kids should be a bit older and “steady on the legs”, because SOCKE is often unaware of his weight and power and thinks he is still a puppy, when he wants his cuddles and he may knock a small child over.

SOCKE already knows some basics such as sit and lay down, but needs a consistent home, because sometimes he has a lot of age-based silly things on his mind.

He is very lively and playful – and yet not aware of his “dimensions”. As he can be quite strong on the lead he needs a bit more training to walk politely.

SOCKE is a highly sensitive “big black bear”, but due to his height and his “stubbornness” it takes a little longer for him to learn.

SOCKE is neutered and comes with an EU passport, he is chipped, vaccinated incl. rabies, de-flead and de-wormed and registered at TASSO. He is house trained and can stay alone for an appropriate time. Since SOCKE has been coached by our dog trainer for several months now, we can judge him very well and would like to continue to look after him even after a placement – either in person or at least by phone with help and advice SOCKE is very dear to all of us and we would have liked the current constellation to work, but in the end you always have to think about both sides – and both the family and SOCKE just need another counterpart. As much as they are attached to each other …  SOCKE will be given through Pointer-Freunde e.V. with an adoption contract and an adoption fee of 400€.

If you have any further questions about SOCKE, would like to meet him or have already fallen in love with our “big, black, loving but bouncy bear” – please do not hesitate to contact us.

ELSA, Pointer-Border Collie-Mix, born 09/2016

ELSA, Pointer-Border Collie-Mix, born 09/2016

ELSA and her siblings were found dumped when they were just some days old.

They had a very hard time in their first weeks of their lifes, as they were so weak. But fortunately they made it through and grew up to wonderful young doggies.

ELSA is very easy going, friendly and good with all dogs. She is also fluffier than her siblings. So we think they have two different fathers.

ELSA is ready to join her own family – she has her passport, is chiped, spayed, vaccinated incl. rabies, dewormed and deflead and can travel anytime.

ELSA and her siblings will be given with an adoption contract and an adoption fee through Pointer-Freunde e.V.

HENNA, german shorthaired pointer, born appr. 2013

HENNA, german shorthaired pointer, born appr. 2013

HENNA originally comes from Bulgaria. So far, almost nothing is known about her history. We got her from one of the largest animal shelters in Bulgaria, where she was living on a chain for months. For a Pointer / German Shorthair this is a bitter fate, as they are very people-related and affectionate. Not to mention their sensitivity.

But HENNA coped well with her situation as she was close to her keepers. Them and a few animal-loving ladies from Germany have been particularly committed to HENNA and KALIMERO, who also is now under the protection of Pointer-Freunde e.V.

On her arrival, HENNA showed a closeness to us immediately, something we seldom experience in the beginning. She just wants one thing: to please everybody! And most of all, she wants to cuddle and be loved all day long.

HENNA gets along well with male dogs unless they are not too pushy, all in all she is very social. So far, we could not see any jealousy about food or any other aggression.

With female dogs she should be brought together by experienced dog people as with them she shows some dominant behaviour. This can be managed by showing her her limits.

We are urgently looking for a foster home for HENNA. She would love to be a single dog but a family with a male dog would also be perfect. HENNA has to get used to her new life, a new surrounding and of course of finally having “her” family, she just needs some time to fully arrive. Mind you, she is just perfect with people.

Also if you can imagine to give HENNA a forever home you are more than welcome to contact us anytime! If you are looking for a loyal companion, in her best age, HENNA is the ideal dog for you.

HENNA is chipped, vaccinated, has her EU passport, is dewormed and deflead.
