LISA, an approx. 7 years old female pointer is the most gentle dog we have ever seen. Also her natural social behaviour is outstanding.
Her story is really sad but unfortunately not uncommon.
As a puppy she lived with her mother and her siblings under very poor circumstances in Greece. LISAs leg was smashed from the chain of hermum and they just cut it without a vet by that time! Due to the insufficient veterinary care her leg got inflamed and the poor girl lived for almost 7years with that.
Because of the amazing help of two animal loving ladies, LISA was able to come to Germany and we took her under our protection. Soon wecould see that LISA was urgently in need of surgery.
The following three surgeries (incl. 2 emergency ones) with the help of our two vets Patrick Niederhofer and Jana Eisenblätter plus the teamsof the Tiergesundheitszentrum Dammstücken and Pointer-Freunde e.V. were absolutely worth it! Due to their engagement during the firstweeks of intensive care in 24-hours-shifts LISA can now live a normal life.
Now we can say: WELCOME TO LIFE, lovely LISA!
She became an incredible dog! By now she is the “Pointer Mummy” of the pack 😉 When one of the other dogs is not feeling well, she islovingly taking care of them. She is good with every other dog, no matter if male or female, she is house trained and has not one single meanbone in her body, even when it comes to food. Actually she is an absolute dream. Gentle and sweet.
Outside LISA is pretty active and playful, especially with other dogs, sometimes we really have to stop her so that she is not overdoing it. Sheloves long walks and her gait is so elegant, even though she only got three legs. LISA also loves to sleep and rest as that was not possible forher during the last 7 years. Imagine sleeping on concrete floor, in summer it is too hot and in winter cold and rainy… now she finally can relax in her comfortable doggy bed without any fears.
At the moment LISA is wishing for a family of her own and a loving home, where she is the “No.1”, and that is absolutely what this gorgeousdog deserves after all she has been through. The more love she will get the better. Kids or other dogs are ok.
LISA will be given through Pointer-Freunde e.V. with an adoption contract and an adoption fee of 400€.
At the moment she is living in a foster home in 24558 Henstedt-Ulzburg / Germany, waiting for YOU.
